Fall Forum 2017

World OrderThe World Affairs Council of Hilton Head’s seventh annual Fall Forum will consider the ideas presented in World Order by Henry Kissinger. The book, published in 2015, offers a deep meditation on the roots of international harmony and global disorder. Drawing on his experience as one of the foremost statesmen of the modern era — advising presidents, traveling the world, observing and shaping the central foreign policy events of recent decades — Kissinger now reveals his analysis of the ultimate challenge for the twenty-first century: how to build a shared international order in a world of divergent historical perspectives, violent conflict, proliferating technology, and ideological extremism.

The Forum meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays and each day consists of four sessions, each session having a specific concentration. (2017 Fall Forum PDF )

Although the book’s themes will be used as a focus for discussion, the sessions will not be a book report. Each participant is expected to have read this book.

The Fall Forum is open to all World Affairs Council of Hilton Head members and registration is required.
