2017 Academic WorldQuest Competition Results

Congratulations to the May River High School Gray Team for winning the local 2017 Academic WorldQuest Competition!

The World Affairs Council of Hilton Head in partnership with the Beaufort County School District is proud to announce the winners of the Sixth Annual Academic WorldQuest Competition. The event, which was held on February 25th at Hilton Head Island High had ten teams from six area high schools competing for a chance to compete at the National Competition in Washington on Saturday, April 29.

Each team was presented with 100 questions from 10 areas of study. This year’s categories for questions addressed Current Events, the topics in the 2016 Great Decisions Briefing book, Peace and Conflict in the World, Women in Technology, Turkey, Infectious Disease, European Union, Countering violent Extremism, Global Megacities and China.
