A message from Don Ferguson

Dear Members and Friends of the World Affairs Council,

It is with deep regret that I inform you, effective immediately, I have resigned from the Board of Directors and as President of the Council. I assure that this has not been an easy decision to make.

I have accepted a request made by my University to expand the scope of an important Board position to which I have been committed for a long time. Because this role will require me to be away from home much of the year, I would not have the time or energy to serve both organizations well.

As a member of WACHH for four years and as its president since July 1, 2011, I have greatly enjoyed making new acquaintances and friendships of the many who have supported me and contributed to the huge success of  today’s organization.

I wish all of you continued success!

Don Ferguson

From: The Board of Directors, World Affairs Council of Hilton Head

It is with regret that The Board of Directors has accepted Don Ferguson’s resignation as President of our WACHH. Don has accepted a new role at his Alma Mater that will require his full attention and we wish him well in that assignment. The Board is grateful for his dedication to the mission of our Council and his inspiration and leadership.

The Board of Directors has elected Blaine Lotz to the position of President and Ian Murray to the position of Vice President.
