Fredrik Logevall is the Laurence D. Belfer Professor of International Affairs at Harvard University. He is the author or editor of nine books, most recently Embers of War: The Fall of an Empire and the Making of America’s Vietnam (Random House, 2012), which won the Pulitzer Prize for History and the Francis Parkman Prize, as well as the Arthur Ross Book Award and the American Library in Paris Book Award.

Logevall’s reviews and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Politico, and Foreign Affairs, among other publications, and in 2014 he served as president of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations. He is currently writing a biography of John F. Kennedy.
