Part of the WACHH mission is to reach beyond the Council’s membership to the wider community to provide information on international affairs and its effect on global policies. In the summer of 2007, the WACHH began fulfilling its community outreach mission by offering presentations during the summer months. The presentation’s focus initially was world affairs and foreign policy and were given by Council members and local experts. The meetings are held mid-month in June, July and August and members, guests and non-member are welcome to attend free of charge!
The Summer Forum meetings have proven to be a big success, with standing room only crowds. Today the topics vary greatly but all have wide appeal. Past talks included human trafficking, music, international banking, spies, and international sports. The volunteer committee works hard to find knowledgeable local talent who can discuss timely topics to a diverse audience. The Summer Forum is also an excellent opportunity for people to learn about WACHH and all its programs.
See the 2019 Summer Forum page for information about this year's speakers.
