James Dickie

James Dickie brings 36 years of U.S. military experience to the WACHH Program Committee.  He served 24 years as an Officer in the U.S. Navy.  While on active duty, he had multiple deployments to the Far East, Middle East, and Africa.  Upon his retirement from the U.S. Navy in 2010, he began his second career as a government civilian at the U.S. Joint Staff.  During his 12 years there, he focused on Far East, Central America, and supporting USSOCOM.  

James retired from the Department of Defense in 2022 and moved to Hilton Head Island with his wife, Beth Ann.  He is enjoying his retirement while Beth Ann is a real estate agent.  He spends his time on the water on their sailboat.

He is a native of Bethesda, MD.  James received his undergraduate from the University of Maryland.  From Troy State he received his masters in international relations with a focus on National Security Affairs.
