Maria Velez de Berliner

 Maria Berliner Since 2000 Maria Berliner (Maria Velez de Berliner) has been an executive in national intelligence and security, intelligence-led policing, business strategy, business competitive intelligence, industrial safety, risk and threat assessments, marketing and product positioning, consultant to the US Government, professor at The George Washington University in Washington DC., and Lecturer at Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois.

She is fluent in English, Spanish. Portuguese, Italian, and French and is Chief Strategy Officer at RTG-Red Team Group, Inc. in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Her geographic areas of expertise include: LATAM ( South America); LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean, from Mexico and the Bahamas to Argentina and Chile); China and Taiwan; and Western Europe.

As an intelligence consultant and instructor at the U.S. Department of Defense she serves at the USAF SOS Hurlburt Field, Cannon USAFB, Davis-Monthan USAFB, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Lackland USAFB/JIOWC, and 82nd Airborne Division/Fort Liberty/Fort Bragg bases.

She also serves as international operations and risk and threat consultant to the US Government, US private industry, and to private industry in LATAM, LAC, Western Europe, and China.

Her intelligence analyses appear in the Harvard Business Review, Brazil and Latin American Editions; Routledge Handbook of Latin American Security, Routledge (London); Latin America Advisor, Washington DC; U.S. National Academy of Sciences, Washington DC; Tendencias, Universidad EAFIT (Colombia); El Colombiano, (Colombia); Transnational Organized Crime (London); and Agence France-Presse, Paris (France).
