Colin Moseley
He has had extensive involvement with academic organizations in orthopaedics. He was a member of the Council on Education and the Chairman of the Annual Meeting Committee of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He spent many years on the Board of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, became the President, and received their Distinguished Service award. His commitment to teaching was strong, both in the UCLA orthopaedic training program, and more widely with his colleagues around the world. In this capacity he gave hundreds of invited lectures and presentations at the national and international level which involved travel to many corners of the world. He was impressed by how wonderful people are, even in countries that we view as unfriendly. In Hilton Head he has volunteered with VIM and the Boys and Girls Center, and has been in charge of the Fall Forum for the World Affairs Council. |
